In response to recent attacks in Igabi and Kauru Local Government Areas (LGAs), resulting in casualties and kidnappings, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has urged for robust military operations targeting bandits across the state.
Represented by Samuel Aruwan, the Overseeing Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Governor Uba Sani conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families during a visit to Gwada and Kerawa villages in Igabi LGA for an on-the-spot assessment of the security situation.
Accompanied by Brigadier General Muhammad Kana, Garrison Commander of One Division Nigerian Army, and other military commanders and security personnel, Aruwan emphasized the state’s commitment to addressing the escalating insecurity.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families affected by the tragic events in Igabi and Kauru. Rest assured, the state government is actively engaged in assessing and addressing the security challenges,” Aruwan assured.
He further assured the communities of ongoing military operations in response to the recent attacks, emphasizing the state’s determination to intensify efforts in frontline areas and emerging security hotspots like Kauru LGA.
“Our presence here signifies the government’s unwavering resolve to restore peace and security. Troops are currently conducting operations in these areas, and we remain steadfast in our pursuit of aggressive military action against bandits,” Aruwan affirmed.
