Bayero University Kano Set to Graduate 180 First-Class Students During 38th Convocation, VC Announces

Exciting news emerges from Bayero University Kano as Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, the Vice Chancellor, reveals that the institution is poised to confer first-class degrees upon 180 graduating students at its forthcoming 38th convocation.

During a press briefing held in Kano on Monday, the VC shared this anticipation and other significant details.

Among the notable highlights are that 317 doctoral and 3,770 master’s degree recipients will be honoured.

Renowned entrepreneur Aliko Dangote is set to deliver the convocation lecture, focusing on the “Role of the private sector in building a sustainable knowledge economy in Nigeria.”

In addition, the university will bestow honorary doctorate awards upon Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin and Dr. Akinwumi Adeshina, President of the African Development Bank.

Prof. Abbas expressed, “This year, we have a total of 11,284 students set to graduate and receive their degrees,” marking a significant milestone for the institution.
