Former Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom dispelled speculations of his intention to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC), affirming his allegiance to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking at the PDP state stakeholders meeting in Makurdi, Ortom, a member of the G-5 governors of the party, addressed rumours regarding his allegiance and clarified his stance on remaining within the PDP fold.
He emphasized the importance of unity within the PDP ranks to overcome the setbacks faced in the 2023 elections, advocating for a cohesive approach without assigning blame.
Joining Ortom in reaffirming their dedication to the PDP cause were Senate Minority Leader Abba Moro and former Benue State Governor Senator Gabriel Suwam, underscoring their unwavering commitment to the party’s objectives.
