Following a two-day State visit to Qatar at the invitation of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir, President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja.
After arriving at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at approximately 6:37 p.m., Vice President Kashim Shettima and other top government officials greeted Tinubu.
Other dignitaries include Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the President’s Chief of Staff; Chief Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT); Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC); and Yusuf Bichi, the Director General of the Department of State Service (DSS).
While in Doha, the capital of Qatar, the President engaged with the highest authorities of the country, led by Sheikh Al Thani, as well as taking part in the Nigeria-Qatar Business and Investment Forum.
During the engagement between the Nigerian government and the Qatari authorities, President Tinubu witnessed the signing of various bilateral agreements, having to do with the critical sectors of education, enterprise development, investment promotion, youth empowerment, mining, tourism, and sports.
Also, during the business/investment forum, he spoke to the Qatari business community about the vast investment opportunities available in Nigeria with an almost unbelievable return on investment, assuring them of his administration’s resolve to make Nigeria the best investors’ destination anywhere in the world.
