A group of Muslims in Zaria, Kaduna State, held a special prayer to seek Allah’s intervention in the current hardship faced by Nigerians.
The special prayers, performed at the Mallawa Eid praying ground in Zaria, were attended by both men and women from different parts of the town.
Leading the special prayer, Chief Imam of Bakin Kasuwa Jumaat Mosque (Tudun Wada), Mallam Muhammadu Sani Labudda, described the present hardship as unbearable and emphasized the need for Allah’s intervention.
He stated that the situation in the country was dire, requiring collective prayers, especially with the prices of essential commodities rising daily as Muslim faithful approached the holy month of Ramadan.
After the prayers, Suleiman Ibrahim, Head of the Islamiyya Schools Association in Zaria, emphasized the importance of coming together to strengthen faith and improve worship, believing that Allah can bring succor to the populace.
Suleiman also encouraged Muslims to prioritize giving alms to the needy and less privileged while avoiding all sins as a form of repentance.
Earlier, Sheikh Muhammadu Dan Tine Habibi and Umar Dikko Mai shinkafa of Fitiyanul Islam Zaria, stressed the wisdom and importance of conducting special prayers during times of unresolved societal challenges.
They urged Muslims to fear Allah in all their actions and seek repentance for their sins as a means of attracting divine intervention.
