Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo has instructed the Imo Marketing Board (IMB) to initiate the procurement, sale, and distribution of food items at subsidized prices for residents.
This move aligns with the governor’s commitment to providing welfare support amid the petrol subsidy removal, aiming to enhance food security.
Additionally, Uzodinma mandated ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) to obtain receipts for their items from the office of the head of service at the state secretariat.
The items include bags of rice, vegetable oil and other stocks.
