- Omotoso died at a hospital in Ado-Ekiti after a brief illness
Ekiti state governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has suspended all government events and ceremonies slated for this week in honour of the late chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Paul Omotosho, who died on Tuesday.
According to a statement by the special adviser on media to the governor, Yinka Oyebode, the flag-off ceremony for the Okeyinmi Flyover Bridge in Ado Ekiti, the state capital earlier scheduled for Friday has been postponed.
He added: “The celebration of this year’s International Women’s Day, (being organised by the office of the First Lady and the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development) initially scheduled for Friday at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion has been shifted to another date. New dates for the postponed events will be communicated in due course.”
The late APC chairman who was born on April 4, 1964, died at a hospital in Ado-Ekiti after a brief illness.
Omotoso had at different times, served as the Commissioner for Housing and Environment; Commissioner for Special Duties, and Commissioner for Local Government Affairs in the state.
