Vice President Kashim Shettima praised President Bola Tinubu’s bold move to remove fuel subsidy, citing it as a crucial step towards Nigeria’s economic well-being. Despite the ongoing economic challenges, Shettima emphasized that Tinubu’s actions demonstrate a commitment to resolving issues without pointing fingers.

Speaking at the public launch of Sam Omatseye’s latest book, “Beating All Odds: Diaries and Essays on How Bola Tinubu Became President”, Shettima highlighted Tinubu’s dedication to Nigeria’s interests and the rationale behind certain policy implementations.

The book, which spans 349 pages, delves into Tinubu’s journey to the presidency, chronicling the intricacies of the 2023 elections and the political landscape surrounding them. Shettima reflects on the divisive nature of the election, particularly due to the Muslim-Muslim ticket, which he believes exploited existing fault lines for political gain.

Acknowledging the challenges faced by the nation, Shettima reiterated Tinubu’s commitment to addressing them head-on. He emphasized the importance of leadership in navigating national crises and commended Tinubu for his decisive actions in the face of adversity.

Describing Tinubu as a remarkable political figure, Shettima emphasized the significance of his leadership qualities and their role in securing victory in the 2023 elections. He noted that Tinubu’s ability to overcome obstacles and emerge victorious exemplifies his resilience and strategic prowess.

Former Governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba, echoed Shettima’s sentiments, praising Tinubu’s resilience and leadership qualities. Osoba emphasized the insightful nature of Omatseye’s book, which provides valuable insights into Tinubu’s vision and political strategies.

Among the dignitaries present at the book launch were notable figures such as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, former Governor of Delta State, James Ibori, and former National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole. This underscored the significance of Tinubu’s presidency and the interest it garners.
