  • Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment partners with Lab Four to create 50,000 full-time BPO jobs in Nigeria
  • Memorandum of Understanding signed to implement the National Talent Export Programme, positioning Nigeria as a global service export hub

In collaboration with Lab Four, the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate the creation of 50,000 full-time Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) jobs in Nigeria over the next three years.

The agreement, to be implemented by the National Talent Export Programme (NATEP), was formalized during a signing ceremony in Abuja yesterday. Dr. Femi Adeluyi, the National Coordinator of NATEP, highlighted the program’s significance as a strategic national initiative to position Nigeria as a global hub for service exports, talent sourcing, and talent export.

He emphasized that the initiative would catalyze the growth of the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Talent Export industries, aligning with NATEP’s overarching objectives.

Dr. Doris Uzoke, the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, outlined the four primary objectives of the NATEP initiative. These include delivering one million service-export jobs over the next five years, increasing foreign exchange earnings and revenue for Nigeria, stimulating economic growth and supporting ancillary industries, and enhancing skills development while strengthening the Nigerian brand.
