Reports suggest that the governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Soludo, is gearing up for a significant cabinet reshuffle that could see the dismissal of several commissioners, principal officers, and managing directors across various state agencies.
Sources within the governor’s inner circle, opting for anonymity, disclosed Soludo’s intention to infuse fresh talent into his administration, marking two years since assuming office. The proposed shake-up aims to weed out incumbents falling short of performance expectations.
During commemorations marking his two-year tenure, Governor Soludo reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to transparency and progress, pledging to deliver tangible outcomes for the people of Anambra State.
The anticipated overhaul arises amidst growing concerns regarding the effectiveness of certain officials and a pressing need to rejuvenate governance with innovative perspectives and vigour.
However, Anambra State Commissioner for Information Paul Nwosu, when reached for comment, professed ignorance regarding any impending cabinet reshuffle. “I have not received any official communication regarding a cabinet reshuffle in the state. I am unaware of such plans,” he asserted.
