A fire outbreak on Thursday midnight has razed a plank section of the Ọgbọ Osisi market, in Onitsha, Anambra state
The cause and other vital details surrounding the outbreak is yet to be ascertained at the time of filing this report.
Toochukwu Ikenga, spokesperson of the Anambra police command, told NAN that its operatives led by divisional police officer is making every efforts to combat the situation
He said that a few kind-hearted people were assisting in extinguishing the fire.
“The situation is closely monitored by fire service as durther details shall be communicated as the operation is still ongoing,” he said.
Ikenga added there is no record of loss of life and the worth of property destroyed has not yet been determined.
