Land dispute: Gunmen kill 3 farmers in Nasarawa


A farmland dispute in Nasarawa state has cost three farmers their lives.

The incident happened in Kadarko, Keana Local Government Area of the middle belt State

The deceased were reportedly brutally murdered while working on the disputed land by unknown gunmen.

The incident happened around the Railway axis of the community, according to a local who’s privy to the matter.

He said, “A group of armed men invaded a disputed farmland where the three persons were working and killed them.

“The armed men killed the farmers and fled before the arrival of security operatives.”

He revealed that the victims were Eggon farmers of the community who had come under incessant deadly attacks in recent times over land ownership.

The state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Ramhan Nansel, has not issued a statement on the incident.
