Russian President Vladimir Putin has pledged to bring to justice all those responsible for the deadly attack at Crocus City Hall in northern Krasnogorsk, Moscow, where over 100 people were killed on Friday evening.

Addressing the nation regarding the concert hall attack, which left approximately 140 people critically injured, Putin attributed the assault to perpetrators captured while attempting to cross the border into Ukraine.

“I am addressing you in connection with the bloody, barbaric terrorist act, which claimed the lives of dozens of peaceful, innocent people – including children, teenagers, and women,” Putin stated.

Commending the efforts of medical personnel, special forces, and citizens in responding to the tragedy, Putin declared March 24 a national day of mourning.

The Kremlin is implementing additional anti-terrorist measures in Moscow and its environs to prevent further attacks. Putin affirmed the determination to identify and punish all involved in the attack, stressing that perpetrators, organizers, and those who ordered the crime will face justice.

Putin emphasized the need for unity and resilience in the face of terrorism, asserting that Russia will not succumb to discord or panic. He called for international cooperation in combating terrorism, emphasizing that terrorists have no future and will face retribution.

Putin expressed confidence in the strength and unity of the Russian people, affirming that the nation will emerge stronger from this trial.
