Emeka Rollas, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), extends gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his unwavering support in aiding the recovery journey of veteran actor Zack Orji. Orji, who recently underwent surgery, is currently in the United Kingdom for post-operative evaluation.
Rollas conveyed his appreciation in a statement released by Femi Durojaiye, the Guild’s Senior Special Adviser on Media/Press, shared via Instagram on Saturday.
The statement added, “We have witnessed the unprecedented support that President Tinubu is giving to the creative industry, which has clearly shown his determination to make the sector more relevant and beneficial to both the practitioners and the national economy, and we find it necessary to appreciate him.”
Dr. Rollas also acknowledged the nurturing care provided by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, towards the esteemed actor, along with the supportive role played by Seyi Tinubu, the President’s son.
Furthermore, the statement recognized the contributions of Uju Kennedy, the Minister for Women Affairs, and Ahmed Bala, a longtime friend of Orji, for their relentless efforts in aiding Orji’s recovery process and standing by him during this challenging time.
Rollas extended his gratitude to Tinubu for his dedicated efforts to bolster the creative industry, emphasizing the significant impact of Tinubu’s support in advancing the sector’s relevance and its positive implications for practitioners and the national economy.
Additionally, Rollas debunked rumours surrounding Orji’s health, confirming that the veteran actor successfully underwent two brain surgeries, refuting any speculation about his demise.
