Air Peace inaugurated its Lagos-London flight services, marking a significant milestone in its operational expansion.
The airline’s decision to commence direct flight operations to London was announced during a prelaunch forum held in February, setting the stage for the inaugural flight on March 30.
In November, Allen Onyema, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, disclosed that the airline had obtained the necessary permits, including the Foreign Carrier Operator Permit and Third Country Operator Permit, enabling it to conduct flights to Europe and the United Kingdom.
The airline wrote on X , “London service has commenced and we’re delighted to have achieved yet another feat in our drive to continually provide peaceful connectivity across cities.
“A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this launch.”
Among those present at the inaugural flight to London were Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, and Doris Uzoka-Anita, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, alongside other dignitaries.
Air Peace’s initiation of direct flights between Lagos and London underscores its continuous efforts to enhance air travel accessibility and connectivity, catering to the needs of passengers while contributing to the growth of the aviation industry.
