Kano State Governor, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has flagged-off the distribution of free JAMB Forms to 6,500 Secondary Schools students.
This was contained in a statement signed by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature on Sunday night.
“As we distribute free JAMB forms today to 6,500 Kano State indigenes, let me assure that the gesture is a symbol of our government’s unwavering commitment to invest in the future of our children.
“We believe that education is a bedrock of development and by empowering our students, our children would have access to quality education, we are laying the foundation for a prosperous and sustainable future for our dear state Kano,” stressed Governor Yusuf at an event that was held at Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano, ” he said.
The Governor used the opportunity to elaborate on the feats achieved by his government in developing the education sector in the last ten months.
According to him, some of these feats include re-introduction of foreign scholarship, payment of registration fees to Kano indigenes studying at Bayero University, Kano, and re-opening of 21 Skills Acquisition institutes.
Gov. Yusuf urged all the beneficiary students to make best use of the opportunity and strive for excellence in their academic pursuit saying that the future belongs to those who work tirelessly to turn dreams into realities.
The governor commended the JAMB Register, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the management and Staff of the State Ministry of Education and all other stakeholders who contributed in making the exercise a huge success.
