At least two passengers have lost their lives in a fatal lone accident in Osun State on Friday.
The accident, which involved a bus heading to Lagos from Ekiti State, happened at Balogun Village near Ikire.
The spokesperson for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Osun State, Kehinde Adeleke, confirmed the accident.
He said the deceased died on the spot while the injured were taken to a private hospital in Apomu for treatment.
Adeleke said, “Today, April 5, 2024, around 1336hrs, one Oma bus from Ekiti going to Lagos had a lone accident around Balogun village which claimed two lives instantly.”
Adeleke added that the Osun NSCDC Commandant, Michael Adaralewa, enjoined road users, especially motorists, to always obey traffic rules and regulations while driving in order to avoid loss of lives and property..
“He also said they should desist from excessive-speeding, urging them not to drink alcohol while driving,” he added
