The Edo police command says its operatives have arrested a suspected cultist, one Endurance Ezeigbe Otansowe, with gun.
WITHIN NIGERIA reports that the spokesperson of the command, Chidi Nwabuzor disclosed this to newsmen in Benin.
The spokesperson said the suspect was arrested on April 12, 2024 by Evbotubu police division following an intelligence report.
According to him, the divisional police officer in charge of Evbotubu received information about cult activities, resulting in stop and search operation in the area.
“During the operation, the police accosted and arrested the suspect with one Branil pistol,” he said.
According to him, the suspect during investigation confirmed being in possession of illegal weapon.
He said the suspect would be charged to court.
