  • Oshiomhole acknowledges his mistake, describing his support for Uzamere as a costly error that led to Urhokhide’s victory

Senator Adams Oshiomhole has apologised to Matthew Urhokhide, the former Senator representing Edo South, expressing regret over his support for Senator Ehigie Uzamere within the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking over the weekend during the formal reception of Senator Urhokhide and eight former local government chairmen into the APC, Oshiomhole, currently representing Edo North in the National Assembly, acknowledged his error in backing Uzamere against Urhokhide’s candidacy.

Oshiomhole described his support for Uzamere as one of the costly mistakes in his political career, lamenting that it led to the loss of Edo South to Senator Urhoghide on two occasions.

“I was misled, but I take full responsibility for supporting former Senator Uzamere. However, after his victory, he defected back to the PDP,” Oshiomhole remarked.
