BREAKING: Oyo Govt Demolishes Yoruba Nation Building In Ibadan

The state Commissioner of Police, Hamzat Adebola, had on Monday paraded 20 suspects.

  • On April 13, some suspected Yoruba nation agitators invaded the secretariat and took over some parts of the area
  • The Chief Magistrates Court in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, arraigned about 29 accused Yoruba Nation agitators on Wednesday.

The Oyo state government has demolished building where the Yoruba Nation agitators led by Modupe Onitiri-Abiola are operating from in Ibadan, the state capital.

WITHIN NIGERIA sources learnt that the building was demolished on Wednesday, 17th April.

Recall that on Saturday morning, a group of masked individuals broke into the state secretariat in Agodi, Ibadan, and were apprehended by joint security officers there to disperse them.

The structure was reportedly located in Ibadan South West Local Government Area on Toye Oyesola Street.

According to PUNCH, Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, CP Fatai Owoseni (retd.), on the telephone confirmed the demolition exercise.

The governor’s aide gave a terse statement and declined further comment.
