In Lagos State, one Peter Ezekiel has been remanded in a correctional centre for allegedly abducting and defiling a 14-year-old girl
A Chief Magistrates’ Court in Badagry ordered the remand of the 20-year-old accused on Wednesday.
Ezekiel is standing trail for two-count charge of abduction and defilement slammed against him by the police.
Chief Magistrate Patrick Adekomaiya, who did not take Ezekiel’s plea, ordered that he be remanded in a correction centre pending when bail would be granted in a High Court.
Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Insp. told the court that Ezekiel committed the offense sometimes in Dec. 2023, at Bakery Area of Ashipa, Seme Border, Badagry, Lagos.
The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of sections 411, 269, 261 and 263 of the 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015
