JUST-IN: Police Take Over APC Secretariat In Benue

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Secretariat led by Comrade Austin Agade, has been taken over by anti-riot police officers for the second time in a month in Makurdi, the capital of Benue state.

In Makurdi, there are two APC secretariats.

Agada is in command of one, and Benjamin Omakolo is in charge of the other.

The APC State Working Committee (SWC), led by Agada, planned to officially inaugurate the zoning committee members for the next council elections at the Secretariat on Friday, 19th.

However, anti-riot police officers repositioned their trucks and barred all access to the Secretariat as early as six in the morning.

As of press time, Okada riders who were allegedly loyal to the APC State Working Committee, commanded by Benjamin Omakolo and referred to by Chief of Staff Paul Biam as the “original APC,” had taken control of the situation, causing uncertainty.

All political activity and public gatherings in Benue State were outlawed by Governor Hyacient Alia.

It was gathered the order of the Governor banning any form of gathering subsists.
