Austria manager Ralf Rangnick has confirmed that he is in talks with Bayern Munich about possibly becoming the club’s head coach in the summer.
The former Manchester United boss acknowledged that there has been contact between himself and Bayern, but he did not disclose whether he intends to accept the offer.
“I’ve also informed the Austrian FA (OeFB) about it. We have a very trusting relationship,” he stated in an interview with Austrian outlet 90 Minutes published on Wednesday.
Bayern Munich is currently seeking a replacement for outgoing manager Thomas Tuchel after the club agreed to part ways with him in February.
However, Rangnick did not divulge his decision regarding the Bayern job, emphasizing that his focus is on coaching the Austria side for the upcoming Euros in Germany.
