The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps has announced the demolition of shops in certain part of the state.

The Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, who disclosed the development in a statement on his official X page on Wednesday, said two traders were arrested during the demolition exercise.
In a video attached to his post, some vendors could be seen making frantic efforts to salvage their goods while the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps workers began demolishing the stores,
The post added that during a morning patrol at the Lekki-Ajah area, some officials of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps demolished some kiosks along Chevron Drive.
Tokunbo stated that after the traders were driven out last week, they moved back to the same location.
“While on monitoring and enforcement duty in the Lekki – Ajah axis this morning, the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps noticed some street traders who were dislodged last week are now regrouping along Chevron Drive. The area has been cleared again and two people have been arrested.”
