Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo has increased minimum wage for workers in the state to N70,000.
The governor named it after Adams Oshiomhole, a former governor of the state.
Obaseki made this declaration while commissioning the labour house which is second to none, and regarded as the most magnificent Labour House in Nigeria, built by the ex-governor’s administration.
The minimum wage increase is to take effect from May 1, 2024.
