Chelsea’s defender Thiago Silva is set to bid farewell to the club as the current season concludes.
The Brazilian, who arrived at Chelsea on a free transfer from Paris St-Germain in 2020, has amassed 151 appearances for the Blues during his tenure.
In his time at Chelsea, Silva has clinched three trophies, notably the prestigious 2020-21 Champions League title.
Expressing his sentiments, “Chelsea means a lot to me. I came here with the intention of only staying for a year and it ended up being four years”.
Silva’s journey at Chelsea commenced under the management of Frank Lampard, and he has since played under the guidance of Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, and Mauricio Pochettino.
Throughout the current season, Silva has contributed significantly, featuring in 34 matches across all competitions and making 25 starts in the Premier League alone.
