Bandits terrorising Nigeria’s north west region have struck again in Kaduna State.
At least eight people were killed when the bandits invaded Kisaya village of Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of the State.
The village heads of Kakangi were reportedly abducted during the attack which happened at about 8 am on Thursday.
The bandits also abducted six women and four farmers who were on their respective farms.
According to a source in the community, the two village heads were on their way from Kakangi to Birnin-Gwari when they were abducted.
The Member representing Kakangi Ward at the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Yahaya Musa Dan Salio, confirmed the attack on Friday.
Hon Yahaya Musa Dan stated that he received a call reporting the abduction of two village heads in his community.
“Yes, I just received a call that two village heads in my constituency were abducted and eight other people killed. All those killed are residents of Kakangi,” he said.
