Hadi Sirika, former Minister of Aviation, and his daughter Fatima have been arraigned by a Federal High Court in Abuja over an alleged N2.7 billion fraud in connection with the botched Nigerian Air project.
The ex-minister and his daughter, and two others have been granted the bail, sum of ₦100m with two sureties.
The sureties, according to the court, must have landed properties in Abuja and also responsible citizens.
The sureties must depose to an affidavit of means. The court also restricted the defendants from traveling abroad without its permission.
Justice Oriji ordered that the defendants should be remanded in prison custody if they failed to meet their bail conditions.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arraigned the former minister, his daughter, and two others with six offenses.
