The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says it has arrested 29 suspected internet fraudsters in Abuja.
In a statement on its X account on Thursday, the suspects were arrested at Apo, Gwarimpa and Katampe axis of Abuja.
The statement said the suspects were taken into custody after operatives of the agency acted on credible information that confirmed the suspects’ involvement in internet-related offences.
Items recovered from the suspects include 43 phones of different makes, six vehicles and two smartwatches.
They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
