- No fewer than seven locals also sustained varying degrees of gunshot wounds during the invasion
Rampaging bandits terrorising Nigeria’s northwest region have struck again in Zamfara State.
At least twenty people were killed when the bandits attacked Bilbis, a village in Tsafe Local Government Area of the beleaguered State.
No fewer than seven locals also sustained varying degrees of gunshot wounds during the invasion and were rushed to Tsafe General Hospital.
According to one Ismaiala Bilbis, the gunmen invaded the community on many motorcycles with sophisticated weapons and operated freely for over three hours.
“The terrorists, after killing over 20 people, abducted two people,” Daily Post quoted him as saying.
He further disclosed that distress calls were put across to security agencies, but the terrorists had left before the arrival of the military and other security operatives.
Some of the residents also explained that out of those killed, 14 were buried on Friday morning.
Recall that communities in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State have become ground zero for violent attacks and wanton killings by unrepentant terrorists who have continued to terrorise the people in recent times.
