Imo State governor, Hope Uzodimma has appointed sole administrators for the 27 local government areas in the state.
The state’s Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy, Declan Emelumba announced this in a statement made available to journalists in Owerri on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the sole administrators will assume their roles for a tenure of 60 days, after which Governor Uzodimma plans to conduct elections into the local governments.
Emelumba reiterated the Governor’s commitment to ensuring the credibility and transparency of the electoral process in Imo State.
The appointed sole administrators and their respective local government areas include Isiala Mbano, Hon. Okoroike Chika; Onuimo, Dr. Obi Emeka; Okigwe, Hon. Sir Acho Asiegbu; Obowo, Barr Obioma Ehirim; Ehime Mbano, Chief Uche Nwodu; Ihitte Uboma, Hon. Barr. Chukwuma Godson Onyema; Oru East, Hon. Okwaraigwe Nnamdi; Orsu, Hon. Ibekaeme Friday; Orlu, Barr. Isaiah Chinedu Ezeogu and Oguta, Dr. Abiaziem Chima.
Others are Oru West, Engr. Ikenna Adikibe; Ohaji/Egbema, Hon. Chief Onyeaju Princewill; Nwangele, Chief Paul Duru; Isu, Chief Kenneth Ukah; Nkwerre, Hon. Odunze Ajaero JP; Njaba, Anaemem Obikaeze; Ideato South, Hon. Okechukwu Okwara; Ideato North, Ozigbo Michael; Ahiazu Mbaise, Larry Obinna Chikwe and Ezinihitte Mbaise, Nwachukwu Chinedum.
The rest are: Mbaitoli, Nwanegwo Ifunanya; Ikeduru, Hon. Justice Nzeh; Aboh Mbaise, Chief Nnamdi Anyanwu; Ngor Okpala, Hon. Kizito Onuoha, Owerri West, Hon. Nwankwo Victor; Owerri Municipal, Engr. Chidiebere Emeribe and Owerri North, Hon. Lucky Abaronye.
