In Abuja, one Margaret Oyibo Atayi, who was declared missing last week, has reportedly been found dead.
The deceased went missing on Thursday, May 16, 2024, prompting a painstaking search for her.
The death of Atayi, 27-year-old mother of two, was disclosed by her sister, Ochanya Chelle.
Chelle, in a Facebook post, announced that her sister was found dead without stating what might have caused her death.
She expressed gratitude to friends for the effort put into the search to find her.
“I thank you all for your relentless support and all the effort you put in towards finding my sister. We found her; she has gone to be with the Lord. My beautiful shooting star. Farewell, My Love,” the post read.
It’s gathered that the late Margaret was found dead late on Monday evening, after going missing for five days.
The victim’s mother, Mrs Helen Atayi, while speaking with newsmen, said her daughter was last seen around City College of Education on Abacha Road, Mararaba, near Abuja, before leaving the house at 3 am on the day she went missing.
“She is my daughter. She was 27 years old and married with two children. She has been missing now for four days. We are staying at City College, Abacha Road, in Mararaba. We were sleeping, and she opened the door and ran out at around 3:30am”, Punch quoted her as saying.
Mrs Atayi had also disclosed that Margaret was survived by a husband and two children.
The deceased was an indigene of Ugbokolo, Okpokwu LGA of Benue State
