In a swift operation, the Lagos State Police Command has arrested a suspect in possession of pistol.
The state police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed the arrest on his X official page on Thursday.
The suspect, identified as Adegun Aboderin, a 33-year-old male, was apprehended during a stop-and-search operation at Abule-Ado, Lagos, at approximately 6:00 a.m. on Thursday.
According to Hundeyin, the suspect was found with the locally fabricated semi-automatic pistol, which has been recovered as an exhibit.
“Suspect: Adegun Aboderin ‘m’ aged 33, Exhibit: Locally fabricated semi-automatic pistol, Where arrested: Abule-Ado, Time arrested: 6am, How arrested: Stop-and-search,” Hundeyin wrote.
The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the possession of the firearm and the suspect’s intentions.
