On Tuesday in Abuja, the nation’s capital, residents enjoyed a free beer bonanza after a truck loaded with beer toppled a few meters from the popular Berger roundabout.
The incident, as reported by Sahara Reporters, occurred around 4 pm along the Mabushi and Berger expressway when the driver lost control, causing the truck to veer off the road.
Passersby and motorists quickly surrounded the truck, helping themselves to the bottles of beer.
The scene drew the attention of some affluent Abuja residents with luxury cars and SUVs, who quickly pulled over to join the impromptu party.
The atmosphere resembled a carnival as dispatch riders, Bolt, and Uber drivers temporarily halted their trips to join in.
Many residents were seen carrying home crates of beer, while others brought buckets to fill up.
The management of the company reportedly instructed the driver to allow people to drink the content to avoid wastage.
Meanwhile some road safety officers were on standby to tow the truck away.
