The reinstated Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi, has landed in the Kano State Government House for the official imprimatur of his second coming as king of the ancient city.
At the government house, he will officially be presented with his appointment letter and the resumption of his duties as the sole first-class Emir of the state.
Owing to the charged and tense atmosphere in the State, a lowkey homecoming ceremony was organized for the Emir upon his late Thursday arrival in Kano.
This development indicates that all preparations are in place for the highly anticipated event, marking the Emir’s first public appearance since his reinstatement.
A handful of events have been also been organised for the him to attend to herald his second spell as the Emir of Kano.
Sanusi is scheduled to attend a mini-durbar ceremony at the Africa House in Kano Government House at 10 a.m. Subsequently, he will proceed to the Nassarawa Emir’s palace before leading the jumu’at (Friday) prayers at the Kano Central Mosque situated within the palace premises in Kofar Kudu
