A diverse group of Nigerian youths representing various ethnic groups has pledged to alter the political landscape before the 2027 general elections.
Gathering at the National Youth Stakeholders’ Forum in Abuja, the youths expressed their commitment to enhancing the country’s unity and cohesion.
The participants included members from the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Odua People’s Congress (OPC), Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), National Youth Parliaments, and Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing Worldwide. Additionally, representatives from the Congress of Arewa Youth for Peace and Equity, United Hope for the North, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), South-South Youth for Good Governance and Grass Root Mobilization, and Northern Youth Ambassador were present.
National youth leaders of political parties, ethnic nationality representatives, and young parliamentarians from the National Assembly also attended the meeting.
The group’s chairman, Muhammad Auwal Musa, emphasized its commitment to unity and empowerment. He stated that it aims to ensure every youth’s voice is heard and remains united in its efforts to drive meaningful change.
