The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has successfully airlifted over 1,600 intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj pilgrimage. The latest batch, consisting of 515 pilgrims, departed on Sunday via Max Air, the official carrier for Kaduna pilgrims.
Yunusa Muhammad, the agency’s Public Relations Officer, made this announcement in a statement. He noted that with the latest departure, the total number of pilgrims transported from the state has reached 1,612.
He added that the intended pilgrims scheduled for the fourth flight are currently undergoing screening at the Hajj transit camp in Mando, Kaduna, and are set to depart today.
