The Kaduna State Government has procured 150 vehicles and 500 motorcycles, slated for distribution to security agencies within the state to combat banditry. These acquisitions aim to bolster the efforts of security forces to address the menace of criminal activities within the region.
During the commissioning ceremony of the vehicles and motorcycles, dubbed “Operation Fushin Kada,” Governor Senator Uba Sani underscored the government’s commitment to safeguarding residents’ lives and affirmed the administration’s dedication to furnishing security agencies with necessary resources for effective operations.
Governor Sani also reiterated his administration’s staunch endorsement of establishing state police, applauding federal lawmakers from the state for their support towards this initiative.
In his address, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs Samuel Aruwan emphasized the pivotal role of mobility in security. He highlighted how criminals exploit rugged terrains and remote areas, making mobility crucial for swift responses. With the provision of these vehicles, response capabilities are expected to be significantly enhanced, enhancing overall security measures in the state.
Aruwan further accentuated the state government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens under Governor Sani’s leadership over the past year.
Similarly, Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, commended the dedication and sacrifices of officers and soldiers in upholding peace and security. He lauded their professionalism and bravery, emphasizing their vital role in maintaining stability nationwide.
General Musa emphasized that the operational vehicles facilitate strategic mobility and symbolize the enduring spirit of the Nigerian Armed Forces. As they officially commissioned the operational vehicles, he urged personnel to defend the nation with honour and integrity.
