A train heading to Kaduna State from Abuja has derailed causing disruption in operation and passengers’ itinerary.
The train derailed at Asha station in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Wednesday.
The incident, which happened at around 4:00 pm, moments after the train departed Kubwa station in Abuja, also left numerous passengers stranded.
One of the passengers, who spoke with newsmen, said the issued is not being treated with the required urgency by the relevant authorities.
This incident marks the second time in two weeks that the train has derailed.
On May 26, a train travelling from Rigasa station in Kaduna to Abuja derailed in a mountainous area near Jere, resulting in three carriages going off the tracks.
Fortunately, there were no casualties
