Nigerian Pilgrim Allegedly Commits Suicide in Saudi Arabia

Hajia Hawawu Mohammed, a Nigerian pilgrim from Kwara State, has reportedly committed suicide in Saudi Arabia. The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Board disclosed that she is suspected to have taken her own life by jumping from the rooftop of her apartment in Madina.

Additionally, the board reported the death of Saliu Mohammed, another pilgrim from Kwara State. He passed away in the intensive care unit of a public hospital in Madina. Saliu Mohammed had arrived in the holy land with batch 3 of the state contingent.

The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Board expressed deep regret over these tragic incidents but acknowledged the ultimate decree and knowledge of Allah in all affairs.

In a statement, the Executive Secretary of the board, Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, extended profound condolences to the families of the deceased, praying for Allah to grant them comfort and forgive the departed souls.
