A Train bound for the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, has derailed.

A Nigerian Rail Way Cooperation (NRC) staff who prefers anonymity confirmed the incident to the Guardian.

When asked if the problem had been rectified, the train staff replied, “We are still working on it”.

Similarly, a former senator representing Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani hinted that a top Managing Director was on board while the incident occurred.

Seven days ago, a train bound for Kaduna derailed at the Asha station in the federal capital territory.

On May 26, a train scheduled for Abuja also derailed in Jere.

The House of Representatives about twenty four hours ago decided to probe the constant rail derailment, stating that railways were supposed to be the safest means of transportation in the country.
