Commissioner of Police Benneth Igweh made this known on Thursday while parading several suspected criminals arrested for various offences.
According to Igweh, the 45-year-old suspect was arrested after the police gathered intelligence regarding his activities.
“On June 7, 2024, at about 2:00 pm, acting on credible intelligence, police operatives from the anti-car theft section, trailed and arrested one Ikechukwu Didi, 54, of Enugu State at Dutse Junction, who specialised in gunrunning.
“Seven automatic pump-action shotguns and 1000 rounds of live cartridges were recovered from him. The suspect will be arraiged in court soon,” he said.
