The 16th Emir of Kano, Mohammad Sanusi, has called on Muslims to embrace helping the needy and promoting peace.
During his sermon after leading the Eid prayers at Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Jumu’at Mosque in Kofar Mata, Kano, Emir Sanusi emphasized the importance of adhering to Prophet Muhammad’s teachings, particularly the emphasis on assisting those in need, especially during Eid-al-Adha celebrations.
He also encouraged intensified prayers for peaceful coexistence in Kano State and nationwide.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), despite economic challenges, many residents carried out the Sallah sacrifices and dressed in colourful attire. Security personnel were deployed to ensure peace and safety.
