Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement and Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has advised Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, to prioritize human capital development. This advice came during a Sallah visit by Governor Yusuf and members of his cabinet to Kwankwaso.
According to the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Kwankwaso praised Governor Yusuf for his commendable performance during his first year in office. He highlighted the Governor’s dedication to advancing education and women’s empowerment initiatives, which are in line with the values of the Kwankwasiyya philosophy.
Kwankwaso expressed his approval of the Governor’s efforts to support women entrepreneurs, particularly in rural areas, recognizing the importance of such initiatives. He called for increased focus on security, empowering the less privileged, and continuing developmental projects. He also pledged his support and guidance to the government as a committed stakeholder.
In response, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf thanked Kwankwaso for his mentorship and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the principles of the Kwankwasiyya movement. He assured continued progress and development for Kano State under these guiding principles.
