Gombe police arrest four for robbing corpers, items recovered

The officers acted on credible information

On Monday, the Gombe State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Buhari Abdullahi, confirmed that operatives of the Gombe Divisional Police Area have apprehended a four-man gang who stole equipment from the corpers’ lodge located in Tundunwada.

Abdullahi stated that the officers acted on credible information, which led to the arrests and the recovery of the stolen items.

He said, “A group of four individuals who attacked the corpers’ lodge here in Tundunwada in Gombe, close to the fire service and collected the victims’ phones and laptops have been arrested.

“Upon receipt of the information, the police tactical team, patrol 999 together with Gombe division personnel swung into action and apprehended all the suspects and recovered all items stolen from the individuals.”

Abdullahi also disclosed that police officers arrested a cattle rustler in the Dukku Local Government Area of the state.

“Fortunately, he has been on our wanted list for some time now in a suspected case of kidnapping last month (May),” he added.
