Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, will retire on August 14, 2024.
This announcement was made on Wednesday in Abuja by Mohammed Ahmed, Director of Communications in her office, during a conversation with media executives in honor of the 2024 Civil Service Week Celebrations.
Ahmed noted that this briefing would be Yemi-Esan’s last as HoCSF.
Yemi-Esan will turn 60 on August 14, which is the mandatory retirement age for civil servants in core Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.
This year’s civil service week had the theme ‘Educate an African Fit for the 21st Century: Building Resilient Education Systems for Increased Access to Inclusive, Lifelong, Quality and Relevant Learning in Africa’.
The immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari on September 18, 2019 appointed Yemi-Esan as the Acting HoCSF following the removal of the former HOCSF, Mrs Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita.
Yemi-Esan, who was later on March 4, 2020, inaugurated, was then serving as the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
