- Fubara explained that government activities are functioning normally and residents are going about their legitimate businesses without impediment
Governor Siminalayi Fubara has debunked claims that Rivers State is embroiled in crisis and unrest, stressing that the mood and atmosphere in the state is devoid of apprehension and uncertainty.
Speaking while inspecting the Omodu-Eberi-Omuma Road in Omuma Local Government Area of the state on Thursday, Fubara said the state remains peaceful and calm.
Fubara explained that government activities are functioning normally and residents are going about their legitimate businesses without impediment.
He noted that the inspection of projects was intended to disabuse the mind of those with any wrong perception and impression about the state’s condition.
The governor also mentioned that the road project, initially planned to be eight kilometres and commissioned as part of the first anniversary celebrations, had to be extended by 14.6 kilometres to link the neighbouring Abia State
