Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF), proclaimed Nigeria’s civil service as the best globally during a sporting event held in Abuja on Saturday as part of the 2024 Civil Service Week celebrations.

“I am always proud of civil and public servants because Nigeria has the best civil service in the world, and I can confidently say that anywhere,” she stated.

She expressed delight at the significant turnout of civil servants from various ministries, departments, and agencies at the event, noting the substantial increase compared to previous years.

Acknowledging the importance of physical fitness for productivity, Yemi-Esan urged civil servants to prioritize their health and encouraged regular visits to the government-established wellness centre.

“It is crucial for us to maintain our health through exercises like those we engage in today. Our physical well-being directly impacts our ability to deliver our best for the country,” she emphasized.

Yemi-Esan highlighted government investments in the wellness centre to ensure civil servants maintain good health and optimal mental faculties.

Minister of Sport Development, Mr. John Enoh, commended Yemi-Esan for her commitment to promoting wellness activities during the annual Civil Service Week, underscoring the importance of such initiatives for employee well-being.

The event featured various activities, including running, football, aerobics, and cycling, to promote fitness and camaraderie among civil servants.
