Abdurahman Mainasara Dala, Chairman of the group PDP One Family, has announced ambitious plans for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to assume control of Kano and Nigeria by 2027. His statement followed a crucial stakeholders’ meeting held in Kano on Sunday, during which he expressed disappointment in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and urged its leadership to empower the youth.

Mainasara emphasized the vital role of youth in advancing the PDP, affirming their potential to propel the party to unprecedented heights. He extended a nationwide call to youth, asserting that the PDP offers solutions to Nigeria’s economic challenges.

“The PDP aims to secure Kano State and Nigeria by 2027,” Mainasara declared. “Our stakeholders’ meeting is pivotal in our strategy to achieve this goal. Resolving internal conflicts is paramount; PDP One Family aims to foster unity within the party.”

Meanwhile, Bello Gambo Bichi, the secretary of the PDP in Kano State, highlighted the meeting’s focus on analyzing challenges and proposing solutions. Reflecting on the party’s journey since losing the 2015 election, he noted a growing recognition of the PDP as a viable solution amidst rising insecurity and economic hardships.

However, Ibrahim Aminu Daniya, spokesperson for the PDP in Kano State, acknowledged the external challenges facing all political parties in Nigeria. He emphasized the PDP’s commitment to unity and inclusivity, inviting all Nigerians to join the party and contribute to its strength.

Daniya hinted at forthcoming PDP statements regarding other parties’ performance, emphasizing the party’s strategic positioning as elections approach.
