England midfielder, Phil Foden, on Wednesday departed the camp of the three lions to fly back home.
Foden left Germany where the English team is participating in the ongoing 2024 European championship to attend to “pressing family matter.”
The English Football Association confirmed the development in a statement on Wednesday.
It is believed that Foden is expecting his third child.
Foden has started all three England’s matches at the tournament so far.
The 24-year-old is expected to be back in time for their last-16 game on Sunday.
